The objectives for this month, is to make sure people understand the meaning of what conservation is and the importance of conservation activities.

In this conservation month, students can participate together to do some conservation activities like collecting plastic bottles which have been prepared by the conservation IG ourselves.

And there are also other activities like the RP lights out day. Hence, by doing this activity, this is to show that conservation can actually be fun and that everyone can have a part to play and participate.

And to those students who likes to sit down and listen. There are also talks available for them. And this talk is to educate them about conservation.

There will be one major upcoming community event that we will be holding, which is the 100,000 bottle collection where we will be collaborating with the neighbourhood secondary schools.

Our aim is to create awareness of recycling, and the beauty of it.


Lastly, this conservation month is to educate and make known to people that conservation is not only about reduce, reuse and recycle things like papers and plastics, but things like conserving energy, water and also protecting the life of wildlife animals and other animals too are also part of conservation.

The SLA event is basically to make people understand more about our conservation IG and what are all the upcoming events that are coming, plus how many CE points that can actually be collected by joining this IG.

At the same time, this is to promote mostly the year 1s into joining this IG. However, the year 2s are also welcome into joining this IG. The more the merrier! Well, most importantly to make sure that the meaning of conservation and conserving is kept in one’s mind. (=

The objective of this event is to encourage students to recycle things like plastic bottles, cans and paper and not to throw them after used.

And from this event itself, the things that have been recycled will be use to make our Conservation mascot during the SLA event. Thus, this will educate the people that such things that have been recycled can actually be made into something useful like our IG mascot, instead of wasting money and buying new materials to do a mascot.

At the same time the mascot can also be reused again for future events instead of throwing it away. And for the extra recycled things that we have, it will then be send to recycling companies for recycling process.
