Admiralty Park Cleanup

Christmas Green Tips

Here's some Christmas Green Tips for you during Christmas~
It's not just about being environmentally friendly, is about practicing it in your daily life~

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year~~

"Will urban sprawl spread so far that most people lose all touch with nature? Will the day come when the only bird a typical American child ever sees is a canary in a pet shop window? When the only wild animal he knows is a rat - glimpsed on a night drive through some city slum? When the only tree he touches is the cleverly fabricated plastic evergreen that shades his gifts on Christmas morning? " -- Frank N. Ikard, North American Wildlife and Natural Resources Conference, Houston, March 1968

Admiralty Park Cleanup

Mangrove forests are among the most threatened habitats in the world.
It is estimated that almost half of the world's mangroves have been destroyed by man.

Therefore, it lies within our hands to protect and conserve our Earth.

International Coastal Cleanup Singapore (Actual Day)

On 11th of September, we had our yearly contribution to International Coastal Cleanup Singapore(ICCS), at the Lim Chu Kang mangrove swamp.

Our Conservation IG members, together with a group of CE helpers had sacrificed one of their Saturdays to participate in International Coastal Clean up where they could personally make a difference and see the amount of trash that accumulates along the shore line.

Marine debris will degrades the beauty of our coastal environment and cause entanglement to the marine creatures......

Everyone have worked to clear up all the marine debris that they have seen on the shoreline~
Lots of barrels have been found during the cleanup~!!!!!!!

Hey thanks to everyone after tabulating, a total of 325.3kg of marine debris have been collected !!!! XD
Cheers to all Conservation IG and CE-Helpers!! XD
Do Join Us Next Year!

As said by Edmund Burke, "All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing", however, we can all choose to do something to conserve nature~~

International Coastal Cleanup Singapore
